A dizzyingly long list of categories.  Quite a good number of adult figure skaters practicing and having lessons on the daytime public session I was on yesterday, so adult skating seems to be popular still.

Watching some of it.. would of been nice to have someone separately pick up the flowers/toys thrown on the ice after the performance; seems weird getting the skater to pickup their own..

It's usually kids that do that and I guess they are at school...

Not at the weekend; BIS messed up IMO. I'm not sure what would happen if a skater left the ice, and didn't pickup items thrown on; weird situation - I mean, they're not obligated to, right?

Yes that's a good point.

Imagine one reason to hold it during the week is that ice time is expensive and weekends are for busy public sessions and hockey matches.  Economic necessity.

Adult Nationals = Thu, Fri, Sat, & Sun = lots of skaters!

It's nice to see more professional conduct displayed by the coaches in the results area; I watched some of the British Nationals, and some of the behaviour (no names mentioned) of one or two coaches seemed iffy; perhaps they forgot they were still on camera; BIS should keep an eye on this.
