can anyone give me form  tips

Don't look down! Okay so you will to start with, but as you get more confident with crossovers, make an effort to keep your head up; when playing hockey you'll need the situational awareness; your legs will just do their thing.

Well you can do the movement off the ice, with and without skates on.

Practice balancing off-ice where you can.
Slacklines are awesome for this, but you can use a wobble board etc.
Why do it? It speeds up your reaction/response time; the faster it is the better.
The reason why people fall over, don't feel confident, is that they cannot correct their balance quick enough.

I'm sure lots of us look like bots when we are consciously trying to do something we are not used to doing.  I think that will change with time as the hopefully correct movements become more ingrained and natural.

Someone once said that crossovers are like going up a spiral staircase.

So, if there happens to be some nearby.. (don't do it in your skates)
