wanted to get new blades but unsure wether to get the coronation ace lites whcih are prettier but parallel or the coro ace parabolics as from my research parabolic blades help with edgework and staying centred.. same price for both just unsure what to go for and would appreciate any advice :)

No idea, sorry.  I've skated on Gold Seal, Coronation Ace and the blades my first pair of skates came with (Jackson Ultimate Mk IV).  Other than a small period of time to get used to the different profile I cannot honestly say they made any difference - I still skate badly.  As and when I need new blades I will get another pair of what I have now (Coronation Ace) simply because I don't need the hassle of adapting to a new profile and my skating issues are certainly not related to the type of blade I am using.  You could ask around at your rink for anyone who has used both parabolic and non parabolic and see if they noticed any difference.

I'd recommend the traditional Coronation Ace rather than either Parabolic or Lite.

Skaters at the CA level rarely have good enough edges to make the parabolic feature worthwhile, as it really doesn't kick in until you have steep edges, so is a total waste of money.

I haven't found many skaters who actually like the Lites, plus they are harder for learning catch-hold spins and spirals. Lighter weight equipment is a handicap in the long run when learning jumps, too. Save the lightness for when you need an extra boost to get triples - or doubles if you're an adult skater.

Of course, if the traditional Coronation Aces are out of stock everywhere...

I'm having the same debate but between the regular and lite versions of the Coronation Ace - I'm moving from my Ultima Legacy 7's as I cannot get a decent spin going - 4 rotations is the absolute maximum and it's hit and miss. I love the look of my blades but miss that Coronation Ace profile.

The lite version is calling because they have a similar look to my current blades. I need supervision when I do any skating related shopping as I'm like a magpie! :D

Do NOT get the Lites. Please. You will be far better off with the traditional Aces. I know you and your skating and even if you have to wait for the traditional Aces, please wait for them.  :)

I have tried the coronation ace lite but after a month I still couldn't get comfortable on them and I ended up swapping back to my old blades.

I'm currently looking at more blades and unfortunately parabolic blades aren't made anymore, so I would probably wait for standard coronation ace.

I rest my case.

Good luck with your blade search!
