help choosing skating blades?
« on: November 19, 2023, 01:38:24 pm »
 Hi!

I have been skating for 7 months now and am lookign to buy some new blades for my edea overture boots.
I have all my single jumps except the 1axel and am working on sit/ camel/ back spins and some other variations so I wanted to get some new blades that would last me a while and support me better in these skills.
I try and skate twice a week depending on when im free and try to have either a group lesson at uni or a private lesson if I canot make the group lesson every week.

My coach says my overtures should last me until early doubles as I am quite lightweight but I have been recommended that the edea rotation blades I am using (came with my skates) are too basic for my spin and jump level and it would help my skating to use a blade with a larger (crosscut) toepick and a better rocker profile.

Would appreciate any advice ;D

Thanks!
