New Book - Jackson Haines: The Skating King
« on: November 01, 2023, 11:21:54 am »
So excited to announce the launch of my new book "Jackson Haines: The Skating King"! It is a nonfiction historical biography of Jackson Haines, an American skater hailed as The Father of Figure Skating. Jackson Hained toured Europe during the Victorian era, giving several performances in England. You can learn about the book and read reviews by Olympic Gold Medallists Christopher Dean and Robin Cousins here:

If anyone has any questions about the book, I'd be happy to answer them!  O0

211 pages (paper version) - are there any pictures/diagrams?

Also;
Hardcover: ISBN-10 = 1738768228 & ISBN-13 = 978-1738768226
Paperback: ISBN-10 = 1738768244 & ISBN-13 = 978-1738768240

Yet in some other places (Penguin Bookshop, AbeBooks) it's different; are there other versions?
The greatest trick figure skaters ever pulled, was convincing the world it was easy.

Great questions and yes to both questions! There are over 20 black & white pictures included in the book including some pretty rare ones you won't find anywhere else. There are two nearly identical versions of the print version because I work with two different distributors. The version you'll find on Amazon is slightly bigger in size than the version available through Foyles, Blackwell's, Hatchards, Hive, Powell's etc. The interior/content is exactly the same. Hope this answers your question and that you find the book interesting and informative! :)
