Something else to consider - do you have wide feet? If you do, do not, and I repeat, DO NOT, let a fitter "size up" to accomodate this. We think this is what happened with my last boots, and it caused so many problems.
Skate buying is such a minefield and as a beginner I totally understand not wanting to spend a lot at the beginning.
I'm not sure if they still do, but both Al's Skate Shop and Everglides were at one point offering virtual fittings via video call, so you could certainly enquire with them if you did want another opinion, and see if they could advise this way, without you having to travel.
