Boot recommendations?
« on: February 12, 2018, 01:59:45 pm »
Hey guys,

I had my first skating lesson yesterday (skate level 3) and I’m looking to buy my own skates because the public hire skates were very uncomfortable.
Just looking for some recommendations on which brand/boot I should be looking to get at this stage?

Thanks  :)

I've heard good things about Graf Bolero or 500s.  The only real "beginner" boots I've seen in the flesh recently are SFR Galaxy.  I really, really wouldn't pick those...

Welcome to skating.  Expect cold feet, tired muscles, frazzled brain, frequent bruising and a total drain on your finances.  It's great!   ;D
Returned to the ice in Sept 2017 after a major leg injury in 1999. Skating in Jackson Elite Pro & MK Vision Syncro. Still scary after all these years.

Awesome, thank you!  :) I went with the Bolero’s. They’re so comfortable   O0
