funding for low income students

anyone know if there is such thing as help getting funds or sponsorship in ice skating. ???

i obviously wanna do well but im onky on 8 hour shift every week and im a part time student so i hardly have enough money to pay for a sesion let alone lessons... if anyone kmow anything pls let  me know x

can you not apply for a student loan? in Scotland we can apply to SAAS.

As vegetable pointed out, sadly *probably* not.

However it is not impossible; local businesses put adverts on hockey boards. If you look at other sports I'm sure you could find examples of local sponsorship. Just from memory right now, I think all sponsorship has to be declared.

Some larger corporations have sponsored skaters, however they tend to back major players;

People say how great John Curry was, well if he didn't receive American sponsorship it is quite possible he wouldn't have got where he did;
