Music for 6 year old
« on: January 20, 2014, 11:05:49 am »
My daughters coach has asked us to listen to music for her routine. she suggested Disney instrumentals.
She is only 6, so wanting something cute...but nothing too fast as I think she'd struggle (she is currently level gold free)
Any suggestions?

I've heard some of the kids at my rink use "reflection' from Mulan. You can get an instrumental version :)
Working on L1 & 2, FM & E/ flip, lutz, 3-jump-loop combo, loop-loop combo, camel spin, sit spin variations and A spin.

Thank you, that really helps. She loves Mulan and does like the reflection ..... Ive also noticed it requires very little editing as it's under 2 minutes. Beauty and Beast (tale as old as time) is lovely too - but my daughter doesn't like this as much.
I love most Disney songs, but there are many that sound a bit boring as instrumental versions.

You may find that your daughter's coach will help with the editing. My coach edited mine, and showed me how to do it in case I want to edit my own music in the future.
Working on L1 & 2, FM & E/ flip, lutz, 3-jump-loop combo, loop-loop combo, camel spin, sit spin variations and A spin.

Have a listen to the soundtrack Peter Pan by James Newton Howard.

I've heard a good program track mixed of 'I Do Believe In Fairies' & 'Flying'.

..Also check the soundtrack Tangled by Alan Menken, specifically 'Kingdom Dance'.
