upset with one foot spin!
« on: October 13, 2013, 04:53:37 pm »
ok.. ive been trying this move for months now... for the first time, yesterday ( saturday, 2th of october 2013), i was able to do 3 to 4 revolutions but my  i just couldnt balance it properly!!!

after 3 of 4 spins i just fall like a ladder!!!!!!!!! and also my right foot sort of bent and i couldnt really bring my right foot to my left foot(spinning knee).

yes i know you spin in the ball of your foot but a lot of times, i ended up either spinning on toe pick or even catching the tail of my blade causing me to fall!!!

pllsssss... i need help!!!!!!!!!!!

i went ice skating again today  ( sunday) just to focus on spinning, but it shows little to no improvement adn been trying spiinioing for 3 hours!! whats wrong !!! pls help
.

yes i had private lesson and yes i spoke to proper top figure skater, and yes i have a goood risport free style boots !its not them the problem, its me! i meant i dont care if i fall as long as i can bloody to a proper graceful fast one foot spin!!!

I don't have any advice, but just so you know, you're not alone in your frustration.  I've been skating 3.5 years now, and I still can't do a 1-foot spin at all.  I'm just now getting my 2-foot spins to feel natural and less forced!

You're not the only one, trust me. Spins have been giving me grief for a long time. Given the standard of the other stuff I do, I really feel like my spins should be better than they are!

Admittedly I don't practice spinning as much as I should do. I've recently started trying them more and I think there is some very very small improvement, but it makes me so incredibly sick that I find it hard to do much else afterwards!
