ISS Master Class - Cannock
« on: June 13, 2013, 07:04:04 pm »
Hey I'm going to the Master class at Cannock on Sunday run by Yuri and Vicki Ogden.
Anyone else going or been to one before. I'm just wondering what to expect. I am so excited about going.  I know that there were a few people thinking of going to the master class at Cardiff.

I went to the one in Cardiff. Really enjoyed it. Did off ice first which was really fun, skating orientated exercises like jumping and landing positions. was quite hard work though.

The on ice was fun but not just straightforward jump and spin tuition, it was more about preparation and execution. One thing we did which I found really hard was skating forward, two foot glide, and then jump and do 1 full rotation landing forwards again, really focusing on jumping off your toes. Yuri made it look easy, but I was afraid I was going to slip! We also did some loop jump exercises, pivots, and spin exercises.... a lot more but I can't remember.

The only part I didn't like was the dance, as we did street dance which isn't really my thing. Plus they filmed us which was a bit embarrassing. overall it was really good though, they are great coaches :)
