Paul2 - I think it's the sign of a good coach to say "well if you want to do it that's fine, but I don't think this is right for you".

I was gutted not to be able to do Dundee a couple of years ago, my coach took some other skaters. When they got back she said she didn't think I'd have got that much out of it, as I'd have struggled with the edge work (which they did a lot of!)

I agree that if you do struggle, ESPECIALLY with footwork or basic skills, it's probably better to spend money on more lessons at home, rather than a crash course. For someone who picks things up quickly, the chance to have a few intensive days and try other things is probabyl much more beneficial than for the strugglers (I include myself as a struggler!)

Are you doing adult one or regular? I can maybe help with adult one... But basically once you there they'll give you a schedule I'd imagine. Adult one was roughly same times each day, with all ice time in one block. Off ice before it... Various things, but don't know how regular one runs. :) as long Aa you have skates and trainers you should be ok :)

not for this camp specifically, but:

- skaters
- skating clothes including a jacket which you can take off when you're warm
- trainers
- off ice clothes (so you can change between them and your skating clothes if you get all hot and sweaty)
- a refillable drink container
- blade towel, soft guards and hard guards
- camera/phone camera
- notebook and pen to write down new drills and tips
- don't forget the normal clothes, pjs etc by being distracted by the skating side lol
