Sadly no skating stuff for me, but my now ex-boyfriend did give me some money (£60). He said he still wanted me to have it, even though we're not together any more. Now the question is, do I use it for a load of lessons (I could get 10 out of that amount) OR, do I use it towards my first skating dress (to be bought when I'm landing some jumps/when I pass Gold/when I feel like it)?

My parents did get me my skates for my birthday, and my skating hoodie though, so I'm not totally without skating related stuff, just none on Christmas Day :)
I'm the same as you as my mum was going to get my some stuff but paid for my spa day instead but in two weeks I get my leggings off my bf but it's my bday prezzie gonna let ppl off as I did receive some expensive prezzies x x

Well there's always birthdays and Christmas next year!

I'd definitely go with lessons.

I got a jacket and pants for skating ( not a skating apparel brand just Adidas ) and I also got a private lesson at a really big ice rink . Skating is not very popular in my country so the private skating lesson at the biggest ice rink in my country is a huge thing for me :D we will have to drive for an hour to get there though :/ and my mum is also gonna get me private lessons at the rink I skate at when my coach finds time for me :P ^^ so yeah btw we have less than 10 ice rinks in my country .

Get some private lessons, I'd kill for some private lessons.
Get the dress when you feel like it, we all know that's why us girls skate (for the dresses) lol ;)

What country are you from, if I may ask?

Haha, I already take private lessons, so I might use that money for either more practice sessions or some more nice skating clothes :)
