Missing the Ice

Oh my, ive not been skating for 2 weeks and i never realised how much i would miss it, not been due to horrid viral infection and plan to get back as soon as i can.  Started having lessons as a bit of a laugh but i sooooo enjoy it, i have to admit its the one thing i have stuck with and cant wait to get back.

Glad you have started lessons.! i had them at school back in the 70's and loved it but the rink was far to far to go so never went again until a few yrs ago, bought a pair of boots thinking id go more often but as its almost an hrs drive away i was to far. Was also looking at lessons but again distance was to far for a short lesson that was expensive plus the petrol there and back!
However i have found off-ice skates - see the thread and now having lessons. Like most people because i could put ice skates on and move round the rink thought i could skate, but by having lessons you learn what and how you move :)
I had not had a lesson for 2 weeks due to easter break and didnt realise how much i missed it until last week when i had another lesson.
I agree with you there as itsthe 1 thing ive stuck with for more than a few weeks. tarted oing to gym to get fit - gave that up lol! Skating is much mor fun AND you learn a new skill as well as get fit :)

I know how you feel. I had to miss my first skating lesson tonight due to a GCSE option evening at work and felt quite sad about it! Can't wait til next Thursday now.

i miss the ice too, have been of over five weeks now after knee injury and cant wait to get back1 hope you get better soon!

After not been able to skate for a week I am very much missing the ice keep telling myself it won't be long before I'm back on xx

I to am missing the ice, took a brake for Easter then some work came up and it's away from home so I don't know when I can go back make me very sad :(

Two weeks tomorrow for me  :(  Its getting so bad I'm contemplating buying a place near the rink! lol
