Light skates for children
« on: November 12, 2006, 05:53:19 pm »
Hi,
Having been surfing for info and thought I'd try here. My daughter (almost 5) has been skating for 18months and she recently outgrew her skates and I bought her a new pait of Risport RF4 skates. Since then she has really struggled. Her coach thinks the new skates may be too heavy for her as she is very slight. She recommended Belati skates, as a lighter alternative, but I'm having trouble sourcing them.
My question really is are there any of the other cheaper makes (eg. Lake Placid, Barbie skates etc etc) that would do the same kind of job but are obviously easier to find? And if so what are the pros and cons?
Sorry for being so long winded but this is a new area for me.
Thanks in advance..

Decathalon skates are very light i do agree. You could try edea skates, they are very good quality and a very strong but they are slightly more expensive. They are light and come in a variety of strengths and models
