Skatecamps for Kids

I'm new to figure skating and noticed a lot of camps for adults, but do they usually run any for kids? If so where and when?

I have heard of some at Dundee and Sheffield last year, so I think there will be more.

Just keep looking and I am sure someone will post details.

I prefer frozen ice. I will try anything once. I

most are summer camps and can be found at Blackburn and Chelmsford but if memory serves correctly, they also run an easter camp at Blackpool which they call the academy
I don't believe in the no-win scenario. There is always a way to have your cake and eat it!!!

Hi,

iceSheffield ran one during December. It was an intensive Skate UK course intended to get you through one complete Skate UK level in the week. But as the timetable only got you 3 hours on the ice during the week, I doubt you could do that. It was open to adults and children, but the majority that went were children. They have run similar camps during the school summer holidays.

Hello-  how old / what standard are you or your kids?  Do you need a UK based camp or are you mobile for European camps?

I've come across some good camps in Europe (we're based in Luxembourg with an 8 year old daughter who has been skating since Sept 2009 and recently started competing) but some are significantly more expensive than others.  We're currently pulling together a list of potential camps for this summer which is particularly important for us as our local rink is shut during the summer months.  Am happy to share list.
