So I have just had my first Skate UK level 10 lesson last Thursday and I am introduced to the 'Simple' step sequence used at Slough Ice Arena.

I only know at the moment the first half but was warned in the second half there is an outside closed mohawk. This seems unfair to introduce an element that's not part of any of the levels!

Anyway just so I remeber the first part of the sequence is:

Chasse, Slip, Crossroll, Crossroll, LFO 3-turn, Backwards Cross (R over L), Backwards Cross (L over R), .....

Currently having a few issues with the LFO3 into the cross because I need to change edge after the turn on the same foot to get the crossover and I have a habit of over rotating so I end up staying on a backwards inside edge. It is getting there, more knee bend is helping (when I remember) and I don't think my hockey skates are helping me much.

Must find some time to make an appointment with John Turner to order the WIFA skates I have my eye on.

For ISAI level 8 you have to do one with any 4 elements from level 1-8...obviously footwork elements only. Mine was Forward chasse, FO 3-turn, backward chasse, backward spiral. Some ppl like to fancy it up by putting in a mohawk and a 3-turn but my coach told me to keep it simple and have just your best elements.
spins: basic upright, working on sit and camel
jumps: waltz/three jump, Salchow, toe loop/cherry
