Aw gutted now cause i could really do with adding bit of elegance etc to basic skating as i know getting from a to b in my programme would let me down so i could do with that so much! :-(

Same Rach, its exactly what i'm working on with my coach at the moment, a camp focusing on it would be fab! Especially from a bit of a dancer POV, as my coach is a free skater.

Started Skate UK 10/1/09
Passed Gold free 26/8/10

That's interesting - thanks IQ!

I'm sure it would do me a lot of good to focus on the 'basics' and to improve the elegance etc of my skating, which is pretty rubbish compared to the beautiful fluid skating that I see you and others doing. But I'm a bit unsure about spending a whole two days on it!!
If I can, I'm sure you can!!! Come on and we''l go out for tea :)
YYYAAAAAAYYYYYY! Passed NISA Field Moves Level 1!
BAC2010 Pre bronze Free Category 3 Bronze! :)

Looks like I can make this camp and think I might try and combine it with a trip to John Wilson to get my blades reprofiled on the Wednesday.

If anyone is keen to go to this camp and is interested in sharing a room in the Premier Inn over the road it is only £29 for the Wednesday night and £60 for the Thursday night.  I'd be happy to share with someone either both nights or just Thursday night.  I could probably suffer one night at the Etap but the Etap bed did my back in last time so two nights is definitely not on for me.  I need my home comforts in my old age! ;D

You can pm me if interested.

I have emailed asking for a place on this camp, hope to see some people there! I won't be staying the night as it's only 45 mins from home. Thanks for letting us know about this!

:( When I heard about this I was hoping to go but yet again it looks as if it is going to be at too high a level for me. It does seem unfair that most of the camps are aimed at skaters who have at least completed or nearly completed skate UK.  >:(
started skating  in April 07, age 53
Passed level 10 last year. Now just working on improving.

Can we please have ONE camp post where Paul and friends don't complain about the level? This is a camp to improve basics, if you can't do the basics (which are covered in skateuk 1-10) then there's nothing to work on.

The camp they have at Blackpool is split into skate uk levels 1-5 and 6-10.

Don't worry Molly, we just need to set up next meeting date in Sheffield and all get together even without a camp.. 8)

As one of Paul's & Molly's friends I too have to miss this camp..work needs me more.. :tickedoff:

I was just wondering where you found out that this camp is for people who've completed Skate UK, as ice queen's post says that it'll focus on a range of skating skills across all levels?
