Hi everyone.  I've been lurking for about a year and have just joined.

Just wanted to say that the Easyjet Luton/Madrid flights are on sale.  £63 out and £21 return.   :D

welcome to the site. I booked yesterday with BA flying from London city. I got flights at £54 each way (inc taxes)  not quite as cheap overall as easyjet - but a better luggage allowance:

Checked baggage on BA operated flights:1 piece - maximum checked baggage weight is 23kg,
free of charge.  Hand baggage on BA operated flights:You may take 1 bag, maximum size 56x45x25cm
                    (22x17.5x9.85in). PLUS one laptop, handbag
                    or briefcase.

Easyjet charge a fee for every piece of luggage ( I think it's around £8) and the weight can't be over 20kg. So if your taking two bags- your cheaper with BA!

Just booked our flights with BA.  Was waiting for easyjet flights from Bristol to come out.  They actually woked out more expensive than BA and the flight times are not very good so have decided to go from Heathrow.  We are going out on the Friday before so that we can get some sight seeing done.

If you haven't already booked flights yet, you may want to avoid 31st July and 1st August.  http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/spanish-airport-strikes-qampa-2236591.html

There's someone posting on the facebook group asking if anyone wants to share accomodation for the free week.

If anyone staying at the bungalows during the free week  has spaces in their car to get back and forth to the rink each day i'd be happy to share the car hire costs ( and driving if you like).  The lift would be  for my 15 year old daughter and me

I was in adult group last year. doing free when i skate here i really wasn't sure what to expect. the edges and exercises at beginning were really good and useful. learning the dances was tricky with few people in group. some coaches broke us down into 2smaller groups and made us go just a few at a time to make sure doing right. this was great but meant bit of waiting and getting cold, but worth it to know what doing, but one of the well talked about coaches seemed to find it hard to teach people who didn't pick it up easily. didn't like him much as coach in group situation. lovely man and would be great as private coach am sure! overall though i quite liked it as a change and am doing it again this year. you thinking of it?

Thanks for the info.
Yes I am considering it, might bring the partner along, but can't be sure just yet. I may book it for myself and she can do a last minute thing. At the moment it looks like there are lots of spaces on the dance course.

I think a lot of children tend to do the free rather than dance and the adults tend to do dance. more children skate than adults so therefore dance has spaces! if you do dance anyway then you'd probably enjoy it even more! i kinda missed the elements side of it but enjoyed all edge work and feel it helped a little so hoping this year helps too!x
