Abbi,

I'm on level 6 and it's really getting hard - I think level 4 is when it gets scary! I think I know who you mean - I have found the coaches great.  Its too busy and full of crazy people after the lessons so I skate at the dance club on a Monday night.  It's not cheap but you get lots of practice.

Good luck with your lessons!

Hi Abbi,

I'm not too good at this chat room lark!  The dance club is from 8.00 - 9.15 on a Monday night, its £5 for your first visit then £10 per session.  You can become a member but there is an annual fee of £60(I think!) then you pay £8 per session.

It's a group of all levels & ages but I would say you need to be able to do forward crossovers (level 5) to really try any of the dances.  Having said that there are plenty of gentlemen willing to show you the basic moves.  Everyone is really friendly and it's great to have so much ice to yourself.  If you are interested the guy who runs it is called Alan & he is normally skating on the 'patch of ice' which is immediately before the Skate UK levels 1-3.  Let me know if you want his number!

Take care

Claire
