Just got new skates

I have just got new skates do I need to do anything with them before I can use them?

What skates do you have,some need to be heat moulded or waxed before you use them.

Also check to see what sort of grind the blades have on them.  Some skates come unground, some with a provisional grind and some ready to use.  Hopefully you were informed which they were but if not check with your coach or skate shop.

I have Riedell Model 110 Blade MFG (whatever that is).

My blades are sharp and a little flat at the tip
