I skate in cardiff. I've completed the passport and am doing my level 1 free, field moves and elements on the 28th june.  I am aiming to do my level 3 maybe 4 tests before the end of the year, which my coach thinks I will do easily  :o ???

Hi,

Well I passed my Level 2 after 5 weeks from been a complete non skater. I 'm doing Skate UK at Sheffield which is 60 miles from where I live but only 30 from where I work, the lessons are after work. I try and get on some ice once a week for about 2 hours to practice, usually back at Sheffield, but sometimes in Bradford. I'm stuck on the forward and backward skulling for level 3, I just can't do it, as you might have seen in my other post!

L 6 March 2012. Still working on L 7! The harder the struggle, the more frustrating it is

Hi Paul 2!!
Thats good for a non-skater.
This may sound random but if u imagine a lemon in your head before you do the skulling and then try and draw it on the ice... It helped me and alot of people i've seen struggling!!

I can nearly do a quad...

Thats ok lol

If u begin 2 do it with one foot (bit like a slalom) then u'll get the movement and then try to do it wit 2..
Sorry if i didn't help!!

Nah they deffo werent invented, the actual skate Uk courses are pretty new, they just used to do a set ov similar courses to skate uk that were set up and run by the individual rinks.
