Neither Bradford or Hull - Doncaster
« on: April 25, 2007, 11:42:36 pm »
Hi,

Well I went to Doncaster Dome in the end after been told it's not very busy on a Wednesday evening. So I get there and it's very busy by my reckoning, full of teenagers and the rink is a split level with ramps between the levels! I'm easily the oldest person on the ice, wobbling around amongst all these kids going 100mph!

So eventually I think what the hell and go for it, cutting across the ramps, thinking they can skate so they will just have to avoid me. (Sorry if you were there and I got in your way, but tough, remember when you couldn't skate?) This plan worked ok until some guy reverse skating at speed crashed into me - I have the feeling back in my hand now!

I guess it will be worth it in the end when it becomes second nature, just like walking. What do you reckon, in about 5 years time? By the way, how long does a mid life crisis usually last??

All for now!
