Hi all,
I’m new to here so hope I’m posting right!
A bit of background ... I used to skate as a kid but finished at age 16. However, I’ve come back as an adult nearly 20 years later and getting my single jumps back and have my level 1 BIS in. I am still in my skates from when I was a kid, risport super cristellos, with coronation ace blades.
I went to get my skates sharpened a few days ago and asked them to check my boots. They said they were actually too big (I had a feeling they were) so I’ve had some new boots - risport Electra light. As I’ve gone down from size 250 to 240 I couldn’t transfer my old coronation ace blades. At the time, I didn’t get any new blades and thought I’d be ok with the blades on the new boot - edea rotation. Now I haven’t tried the new boots yet, but I’m really nervous about the blade and don’t know whether just to go back and get some new coronation aces. Am I right in thinking the rocker differs on the two blades (edea rotation - 8, ace 7??). Will I notice a difference? Because I’ve had my old boots and blades for over 20 years, I’m worried about such a drastic change I think!
Thanks all
