While is agree that's its not essential, the amount of hours we (the parents put in) not to mention the skaters would make this sufficiently important  :)

Its not life and death important. London is heading into a lock down finally - should have happened a month ago.

Waiting watching

But not sufficiently important to exacerbate a public health crisis that does lead to death for some.

Well that's it then....

"All the UK's nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres have also been asked to close "as soon as they reasonably can"."

Had my last skate at Plymouth this morning.  They're melting and removing the pad tonight.  Really worried that it won't ever reopen, as the state of the place isn't good and they've literally been holding on for the promised new rink to be built.  That'll be put back now, and I believe the lease on the current building runs out this summer.  I'm not sure why I just bought new boots...
Returned to the ice in Sept 2017 after a major leg injury in 1999. Skating in Jackson Elite Pro & MK Vision Syncro. Still scary after all these years.

Romford closed down today as well.
By strange turn of events my daughter managed 6 hours in her new boots + blades.

Off ice (at home) stretching, spinning and jumping until rocks opens up

Slightly off topic but not completely, I've been reporting daily symptoms/lack of symptoms via an app you can find here: https://covid.joinzoe.com/
They are working in the UK and US to track the main symptoms of COVID-19 in the wider community to assist with the effort of understanding the spread of the virus.  It's free to download, and very easy to use - a couple of minutes to set up and then a few seconds a day to report in.  Over 18s only.

The COVID Symptom Tracker was designed by doctors and scientists at King's College London, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals working in partnership with a global health science company.

The rinks appear to be opening in June sometime. A long wait , but better to be cautious imao.
