How did you choose your Forum name?
« on: June 20, 2019, 09:07:32 pm »
It is good to know the forum is still being used, but I was wondering how people choose their forum name.
For me it was because I was known as "The Mouse" or "Mickey mouse", so when I started skating it seemed logical to become "The Ice Mouse"

I prefer frozen ice. I will try anything once. I

Good question.
Mine is the title of one of my favourite books, by Jean Klein.  It's about the passing on of timeless, sacred truths.  It seemed appropriate to figure skating.

Mine's such a long and exceptionally geeky story but it's basically an online gaming handle I've used for various accounts for years and when I signed up I didn't feel like being imaginative so I just re-used it.
I'm blogging about my skating journey, please read along at dontexcelaxel.blogspot.com

Mine is my name. Boring but true. It is an ancient Viking name.

On YouTube I am Walks With Turkeys, a play on Dances With Wolves.

I was born on a Wednesday.  In March.  It's also the name of my clothing label.  I'm very unimaginative at times!  ;D
Returned to the ice in Sept 2017 after a major leg injury in 1999. Skating in Jackson Elite Pro & MK Vision Syncro. Still scary after all these years.

Mine dates back from when I started the Hull University Physics football team.

Miner's fairly self explanatory :) I try to do this skating thing with about 50% of the peripheral vision I should have, and a few other sight issues that make life on the ice interesting!

When I went through the Learn To Skate course there were two of us with the same first name in the social circle, so nicknames were quickly established. I was 'the tall one' or 'no fear' or 'black', due to often wearing black clothing.
The greatest trick figure skaters ever pulled, was convincing the world it was easy.
