Boots shape
« on: June 05, 2019, 03:40:50 pm »
Hello

I was wondering, in the same brand of skates, are the boots always cut exactly the same and only the stiffness change ?
Would a RisportRF3 boot be exactly the same as a Risport exclusive or Royal ?
And for the Edea (or any other brands), what would be the difference between a Concerto, Ice Fly and Piano other then the stifness ? Is the fit exactly the same ?

Many thanks :)

I think it varies.  I would certainly not assume they are the same across the range.  Edea Ouverture and Chorus I think are the same, and pretty sure Concerto is too, but not from what I can see Ice Fly and Piano.
I don't think Risport are the same and Graf certainly are not.
I would contact the manufacturer for confirmation.

Funnily enough just corresponding with the Jackson distributor for the UK and discover that Elite, Freestyle and Debut are built on the same last.

Well.
Edea person nicely answered back to me and told me all the boots at Edea are made from the exact same mold.... Padding is different so they might feel slightly different.... Interesting no?
I also asked them how many times per year top international skater change boots and he told me usually once... !
I am shocked. I do not understand what my daughter does.
I am now wondering if it could be the way she manipulates them off ice ??
This is sooooooo weird.
