Coaching fees for competition

I know, maybe she should not ask,but how much do you pay your coaches for the competition. My daughter just starts the competition, I'm surprised how the expense of the overall cost for one competition is.

Yes, can be a bit eye-opening/eye-watering. It varies, but coaches will have a "day-rate" for this sort of thing, which is what applies. They cannot after all, do the regular teaching when attending the competition. You also need to add expenses, like travel, sustenance, overnight stays, etc. It really adds up.


To be fair, my daughters coach always tried to take multiple competitors to competitions to split costs, and would usually get a lift with a parent to remove travel costs, so it varied but wasn't as high as it could have been.

I do not count the costs of travel or etc, it is obvious, I am talking about unexpected costs. I did not expect that I had to pay the cost of 4 private lessons (my daughter always has 30 minutes of lessons)...
