Pain on side of ankle
« on: November 11, 2018, 08:41:06 pm »
Hello,

I got new skates maybe used them 6 or 7 times. when skating I realised the outwards side of my ankle hurts.
I use a pair of ccm jetspeed ft350. my ankle is always hitting the side of my skate (see picture) and after a long time it hurts. how to fix this?
I tried long socks. but after skating for 2 a 3 hours it still hurts. anyone tips?
btw I asked people if I was a bender cause I thought that may be the problem but I am not a bender so what could it be then?

Sorry to reply so late. It looks like you can’t heat mould your skates. One option is a protective bandage with a gel pad, from Silopos. They slip over the foot, and provide protection from the hard skate quarter package. I used to use some to protect my feet from the tongue. You don’t want thick socks, thinner are better so yo7 get good foot to skate contact.
