iceSheffield Adult Skaters Camp cancelled
« on: July 20, 2018, 11:28:56 am »
I saw that this event on the 4th August has been cancelled due to lack of interest. So sad as I want adults' skating events to be successful, but £90 plus travel to Sheffield plus (potentially) accommodation as it started at 9am... I didn't sign up and I understand why not many people did. Skating is an expensive sport.  :(
Started skating August 2017

I really wish that they would lower the prices for some classes. I know that the instructors need to be paid for their efforts, but for people who want to learn, it really starts to add up pretty quickly. If they had made the classes a little more accessible then I'm sure the interest would have been much bigger. Most people just use YouTube these days to learn their moves because it works out cheaper, but even then you have to pay for transport and rink entry every time you want to practice. I wish skating wasn't such an expensive sport because it's such a fun activity. I would be on the ice every single day if I had the funds to do so.
