I found a video on youtube of some gent from the USA practising and found he had posted a few other vids of himself.  Worth a view

Glad you liked the videos Rene  :) 

Got to admit I do like to see other skaters videos of themselves especially when they are training.  I don't know what it is, but I seem to get more help from watching them, then watching the professionals.

Same here.

I think it's because the professionals do things do fast and so smoothly you can't always work out what it is they are doing. They also do things at a level beyond what I am ever going to achieve.

If someone has a lot of videos then it is nice to watch how they have progressed as well.

I agree - the reason I think is that a crucial element for progress is to have the strong motivation to tackle something you can't do yet. So if I see someone sort of my level/ability who can do some trick, I am going to be more motivated than if a super pro does it and I have no idea whether it's even worth attempting.
