you are quite correct in thinking that you need to be level 4 before taking the pair tests

That's always been my understanding, but the generic criteria for beginner couples in open competition says

must not hold any old NISA Pair Test or any part of Level 4 Singles or Dance National Tests (excluding Field Moves).  Must not hold Level 2 or higher new National Pair Test.  

Which does imply that you can start the pairs tests, so now I doubt myself!  Of course it could just be there to confuse!

hi i am looking for a male partner do skate either dance or pairs ( as im doing both at the minute) around the london/ kent area. I am currently at Nise level 1 but i am a very quick learner and very dedicated, my aim is to compete in the Adult British next year. I am quite tall at 5.8ft.

can anyone help point me in the right direction?
