Figure skating on TV
« on: December 06, 2009, 09:19:07 pm »
Im a bit disappointed that there doesnt seem to be any figure skating on the TV  >:(

I was expecting the British Championships(the ones that Sinead and John Kerr are in) to be on somewhere but i didnt see it on anywhere.
SkateUK Grade 3. PASSED!!!!!

Currently trying to do backward crossovers!!!
Also forward crossovers.
On the forward ones im ok going anti clockwise but i am finding going clockwise really difficult, can't get left leg over at all :(

I'm afraid the British hasn't been shown by BBC for around 10 years now. The best coverage for skating in eurosport, mainly the europeans at the end of January, the worlds in March and as next year is an Olympic year, they are on in February. They do have other stuff too like some of the grand prix events and seasonal galas and ice shows. You can usually find ice shows fro the US and Canada on sky sports over the xmas and new year period too.
I don't believe in the no-win scenario. There is always a way to have your cake and eat it!!!

NISA TV on the internet is another option, but you have to pay for it. My coach did and kept herself entertained with it all week lol!

Last year the Europeans and Worlds were each covered by a one-hour highlights show on BBC2 on the Sunday after the competition finished - but there was loads more hidden away on the BBC red button.
Passed level two field moves 29/5/12
Passed level two elements and free 17/6/14

Coverage of the european championships from Tallin in Estonia starts on Tuesday evening on eurosport. Its pretty poor compared to past years with only a couple of hours a day instead of 9 or 10!!

That's a great link - thanks. I haven't gone digital yet, but will have to soon as our analogue is switched off in March!

Weird, my friend couldn't find it, cause she wanted to watch. Do you know where I can get the schedule?
