I had my first skate UK lesson in March.  I had skated a few times before then but that was about it.  I did skate every day until about 3 weeks ago when I started work, now I skate 3-4 times a week.  All the coaches have told me I'm a natural ??? it doesn't feel like it sometimes though lol.

Thanks, I think I started too late to go anywhere with skating, although my dream is to go on tour with a show.  I started when I was 17, Im 18 now. I just wish I started 10 years ago lol. I think I just pick things up easily and throw myself into everything and don't give up.

Gareth,

You have ***ONLY*** got to Gold Passport and you are only 18!

Imagine you are 37 years older & have never skated before, you would be pleased to pass Skate UK Level 2! Now I must get back to practising my forward lemons, which I still can't do! GRRRR!!

Paul, are you afraid of falling on the ice?  I help teach the skate UK courses and I think the main reason people find things so difficult to start with is their fear of falling over on the ice.
